PIC grant winner: Leah Sobsey

Click! is pleased to announce the winner of our first ever Programming Innovations for Click! (PIC) grant. Leah and Tim Telkamp will use the UNCG Art Truck as a mobile wet plate studio. They will be making a series of tintype portraits at Click events as well as in neighborhoods that might not necessarily participate in Click events otherwise. Think old school book mobile but for tintypes. Or ice cream truck but for tintypes. They drive up, ring our bell and make your portrait in the mobile photo studio. The project would be exhibited as a large grid of tintypes at the end of the Click Festival. They will invite the photo community to participate as well as Triangle community to participate in the process of making tintypes. The PIC grant is sponsored by Cassilhaus.
